🥙 A complete meal that pleases even the most refined palates. On a pita bread, a bun or a wrap... it never disappoints! Rich in flavor, crunchy on the outside with a meaty texture on the inside.
I like to use pita bread for the sandwich accompanied by salad. Garlic mayo, for me, is always a winner. Add some chilli sauce and you have a party.
Ingredients 3 small tins of chickpeas for 7 medium size burgers 1 medium onion 1 bunch of coriander or parsley 5 tbsp of all-purpose flour 1 tsp of garlic paste 1 tsp of grated ginger 1 tsp of salt 2 tbsp of cumin 1 tsp of turmeric
Process: To the food processor add the drained chickpeas and the rest of the ingredients. Whizz it all to a coarse consistency. Shape the burger and shallow fry them, grill or bake until firm and golden.
For a low carbs version, serve with salads in stead of bread, and to top it up with weight-loss gains, grill them instead of frying.
